Anne Eckert, AuD, MBA, CCC-A, serves as Administrative Director of Rehabilitation at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. She is active in audiology affairs in the state of New Jersey and has served in the capacity of secretary and president of the New Jersey State Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee. Dr. Eckert has also served as a board member of both the New Jersey Academy of Audiology and the NJ State Hearing Aid Dispenser’s Examining Committee. She holds academic positions at Montclair State University, Monmouth University, and is on the advisory board of Salus University.

With extensive healthcare administration and clinical experience, Dr. Eckert has published in the area of balance assessment and on the topic of Electrophysiological Measurement of Auditory Processing Disorders (APD) in Normal Children and in Children with Auditory Processing Disorders. She has been instrumental in securing several grants;  2016 & 2015 State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Falls Prevention, 2015 Seton Hall University Grant, Infusing Interprofessional Research-Related Experiences in Rehabilitation Student Affiliations & New Rehabilitation Staff Training, 2009 Seton Hall University Grant, Clinical Model for Supervision, 2008- Resident Education, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation- Allergan Medical Education.

Dr. Eckert earned her degrees from the George S. Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University (AuD), Monmouth University (MBA), Ball State University (MA), and Montclair University (BA).


Virginia Gural-Toth, AuD, CCC-A

Virginia Gural-Toth, AuD., CCC-A manages the audiology programs at JFK. Besides keeping abreast of the newest advances in hearing aid technology, she has also been trained in various methods of tinnitus treatment including Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. She has lectured on these and other subjects at various professional conferences and written several articles on hearing, balance and auditory processing disorders. She has also published articles on both evoked potential testing and auditory processing. In addition she is Board Certified in Preceptoring our  doctoral level students through the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Toth has 30 years of clinical experience with both adults and pediatrics who have hearing, balance and auditory processing problems.  Dr. Toth earned her degrees from the George S. Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University (Au.D.), Hunter College (M.A.), and Trenton State College (B.S.).

Sara Esther Kader, AuD., CCC-A is our clinical consultant with expertise testing the pediatric populaiton. She enjoys the challenge of difficult to test patients and the diagnosis and treatment of the hearing impaired. She is invigorated by the continued advances in hearing aid technology. In addition she is Board Certified in Preceptoring our doctoral students through the American Academy of Audiology. and enjoys the challenge of contributing to their professional growth as future doctors of Audiology. Dr. Kader, has been practicing for 18 years and joined us in 2005. Dr. Kader earned her degrees from the George S. Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University (Au.D.), and Towson University (M.S., B.A.).

Betty Needleman, AuD., CCC-A

Betty Needleman, AuD., CCC-A has a special interest in testing the pediatric population, as well as the “difficult to test” patient. She particularly enjoys building relationships with hearing aid patients that extend for many years. She is amazed at how quickly advances occur in the hearing aid industry and is happy to update her patients on the most current technology.  Dr. Needleman has been a member of the department for 15 years and is also an adjunct faculty member at Montclair State University. She enjoys mentoring the next generation of Audiology doctors both at JFK and at Montclair's Audiolgogy Program. Dr. Needleman is Board Certified in Preceptoring doctoral level Audiology students through the American Academy of Audiology.. Dr. Needleman earned her degrees from the George S. Osborne School of Audiology at Salus University (AuD.), Ohio University (M.A.) and SUNY at Buffalo (B.A.).

Regina Criscione, ScD., CCC/A

Regina Criscione, ScD., CCC-A has been a staff member since 2007. She has a special interest in helping seniors address their hearing healthcare needs.  She provides diagnostic audiologic and hearing aid services at our satelitte office in Monroe Township. Dr. Criscione is very involved in the community through her numerous presentations on hearing related topics.  She participates in numerous health fairs in the Monroe Township area. Dr. Criscione earned her degress from Montclair State University (Sc.D), Teachers College Columbia university (MS) and Marymount Manhattan College (BA).

Elizabeth Aspell, AuD., CCC-A,  has been a staff member since 2012. In 2015 Dr. Aspell was awarded the title of Senior Audiologist for her clinical expertise, committment to teaching, professional development, leadership and professionalism. Dr. Aspell began her career in 2006 as a Hearing Instrument Specialist before returning to school to obtain her doctoral degree.  She received her doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Aspell is a graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program and holds a pediatric specialty. She was recently awarded Vanderbilt’s Jay W. Sanders Award for Honors in Audiology. She has a special interest in adult amplification and has published numerous articles in this field. Dr. Aspell is Board Certifed in Preceptoring our doctoral level Audiology students though the American Academy of Audiology.

Catherine Sacco, AuD., CCC-A began her career here as a 4th year audiology intern and continued on as a staff member. She obtained her AuD., from  the University of Pittsburgh and her B.S. from East Stroudsburg Univeristy of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sacco is a graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilites (LEND) program and received the Research and Education to Aid Communication Health for Children (REACH) grant. She enjoys working and building relationships with patients of all ages. She has a special interest in vestibular assessment, amplification and aural rehabilitation. She is greatly intrigued by the ever-evolving field of Audiology.

Colette Wolff, AuD., CCC-A has been a member of our team since 2016. She enjoys working with patients of all ages to provide a range of diagnostic audiologic and hearing aid services, with a particular interest in vestibular diagnostic testing. She is gratified by helping people to learn more about their hearing and balance, and to utilize amplification to improve quality of life. Dr. Wolff earned her degrees from Montclair State University (Au.D) and Lafayette College (BA).

Rachael Kennedy, AuD., CCC-A began her career in June of 2017 here in the deparment. She earned her degrees from the University of South Alabama (AuD) and Florida State University (BS). She enjoys working with patients of all ages. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in various settings including: ENT clinics, private practice offices, school systems as well as government agencies. As an audiologsit with hearing loss she feels she can relate to the issues the hearing impaired patients face and provide a different level of care and counseling which will better help those patients.
